Panjgur | May 15, 2025 : A massive protest rally took place in Panjgur today in response to a nationwide call by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), denouncing the growing cases of extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and the unlawful detention of BYC leaders, including prominent activist Dr. Mahrang Baloch.
The rally was held at Tasp Star Chowk and drew large crowds of demonstrators, united in demanding justice, dignity, and the immediate release of all forcibly disappeared individuals. Protesters raised powerful slogans condemning what they described as systematic state violence and genocide targeting the Baloch population.
According to the BYC, this protest marks the beginning of a broader, nationwide resistance movement against the state’s policies in Balochistan. Participants expressed deep concern over the increasing militarization and use of repressive tactics by the authorities.
“This protest is not just for our detained leaders — it is for every disappeared voice in Balochistan. We demand an end to the killings, the disappearances, and the silence,” said a representative from the BYC.
The Committee also reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful resistance and documentation of human rights violations, vowing to continue raising awareness on both national and international platforms.
