Balochistan Enforced Disappearances Iqbal Baloch Shah Husain

Quetta, May 15, 2025 : The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has reported two new cases of enforced disappearances in Balochistan. The victims, Iqbal Baloch from Khuzdar and Shah Husain from Chaghi, were allegedly abducted by personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC), adding to the growing number of such incidents in the province.

Iqbal Baloch — Khuzdar

Iqbal Baloch, a resident of Kudasik, Khuzdar, and a Zambad (passenger van) driver by profession, was reportedly abducted on January 30, 2025, around 8:00 PM from Punjgoor 14 Chowk. According to the BYC, personnel from the Frontier Corps are responsible for the abduction.

Shah Husain — Chaghi

In a separate case, 22-year-old laborer Shah Husain, a resident of Kili Sardar Ali Ahmad, Chaghi, was allegedly taken from his home on May 11, 2025, at approximately 2:00 AM. The BYC has again named the Frontier Corps as the alleged perpetrators.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee continues to raise concerns about the widespread use of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, calling for the immediate release of all missing persons and accountability for those involved.
