Balochistan News Today | May 16, 2025 — Baloch activist Mir Yar Baloch has made a powerful appeal to the global community through social media, alleging decades of exploitation of Balochistan’s rich natural resources by Pakistani authorities and Chinese corporations, while local people continue to suffer extreme poverty.
In a recent video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Baloch highlighted the vast mineral wealth of the region—including gold, copper, iron, oil, and natural gas—stating that despite being home to such abundant resources, the indigenous population is “forced to live below the poverty line.”
“For the last 70 years, Pakistan has looted Balochistan. But now the Baloch nation has awakened,” he declared.
Call for Unity and Global Support
Mir Yar Baloch also urged pro-independence Baloch leaders to unite under a common vision and intensify their international outreach. He emphasized that the days of exploitation by “corrupt generals, Chinese conglomerates, and Muslim Punjabis” are nearing their end.
He called on the Indian government and other democratic nations to collaborate with Baloch leadership to form a 50-year roadmap aimed at ensuring peace and prosperity in the region and ending “77 years of Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism and bloodshed.”
Hyrbyair Marri Mentioned as Visionary Leader
Mir Yar Baloch praised Hyrbyair Marri, a prominent Baloch nationalist leader in exile, as a “visionary” capable of guiding Balochistan toward eventual independence.
“At this juncture, Hyrbyair Marri Ji can lead the Baloch nation towards victory,” he noted.
The video accompanying the tweet features Balochistan’s majestic landscapes, mineral-rich mountains, and symbolic visuals of local resistance—intended to highlight both the region’s natural wealth and its long-standing struggle for autonomy.
