Balochistan Human Rights Violations : The Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB) has released a report detailing a significant escalation in human rights violations across Balochistan during March 2025. The report documents 151 cases of enforced disappearances and 80 killings, alongside a widespread crackdown on peaceful protests.
Enforced Disappearances
According to the HRCB, 151 individuals were subjected to enforced disappearance in March. Of these, 56 were later released, one was transferred to jail, and 94 remain missing. The majority of these incidents were attributed to the Frontier Corps (FC), intelligence agencies, and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
Killings
The report also highlights 80 killings during the same period, including cases of extrajudicial executions. The district of Kachhi witnessed the highest number of deaths, followed by Kech and Awaran.
Crackdown on Protests
March also saw extensive crackdowns targeting the leadership of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), peaceful protesters, and activists, resulting in hundreds of arrests.
