Jiwani, Balochistan News Today : Tariq Baloch, a respected name in the world of car racing, has reportedly lost his life under tragic and alarming circumstances in Balochistan. As per human rights networks and regional updates, Tariq was allegedly abducted on the night of May 11 from his guesthouse in Jiwani, Gwadar district. His body was discovered the next morning in the Palliri area, raising grave concerns about the repeated pattern of extrajudicial killings in the region.
Tariq, the son of Ibraheem Kalamati, had earned recognition across Pakistan and Iran for his achievements in motor racing. Despite being a sportsman with no known political affiliations, he became the latest victim in what rights groups describe as a disturbing “kill and dump” pattern.
Sources claim this wasn’t Tariq’s first brush with unlawful detention. In 2023, he and his brother were reportedly picked up by authorities and later released without charges. Sadly, this time, his story ended in tragedy.
This incident adds to the growing fear among Baloch civilians—students, professionals, and even apolitical individuals—who feel increasingly unsafe. Activists argue that state-backed violence and disappearances have cultivated a climate of fear and silence in Balochistan.
The killing has led to renewed calls for international attention and human rights monitoring in the province. Families affected by such incidents continue to seek justice, often in vain, as investigations remain absent or inconclusive.
