Balochistan Pakistan Losing Control Razzak Baloch

Balochistan News Desk | May 16, 2025 – Speaking to TAG TV, Razzak Baloch, Secretary General of the Baloch American Congress, revealed alarming details about the worsening ground situation in Balochistan. He claimed that nearly 70-80% of the region has become inaccessible for Pakistani forces, with state control limited only to Quetta.

“The Pakistani military cannot step out of Quetta after sunset. Even members of Pakistan’s own assembly have acknowledged this. From 5 PM to 5 AM, military presence vanishes from the roads due to fear,” said Baloch.

He urged the international community, including India and the United States, to stand with the Baloch people in their ongoing freedom movement and to consider offering diplomatic support, such as hosting a Baloch government-in-exile.

Foreign Support Urged Amid Ongoing Crackdown

Highlighting the continuous detainment of activist Dr. Mahrang Baloch and widespread protests across the province, Baloch emphasized that symbolic support is not enough. He acknowledged political efforts by local leaders like Sardar Akhtar Mengal but said foreign backing is essential to dismantle military strongholds in key cities like Chowni and Quetta.

“We don’t beg. We speak with pride. But if India stands by us, the doors of Balochistan will open,” he stated, underlining the urgency for democratic nations to recognize the Baloch struggle.

A Warning for the Region

Razzak Baloch warned that ignoring Balochistan’s plight would embolden what he referred to as Pakistan’s “barbarian army,” which he said poses a threat not only to Balochistan but to the entire South Asian region.

He concluded with a pointed message to Pakistan’s military:

“Before your army leaves its boots behind like in Bangladesh, withdraw with dignity. The time for peace, not oppression, has come.”
